Message  

Periodic assignments are given to class III which are graded. Classes IV-V appear for their weekly unit tests and also term exam held once every semester. Assessment for classes IV and V is based purely on the grading system.

The students should carry this diary every day to school.

It will be mandatory to have 85% of attendance. Students who skip classes without informing the school may be expelled and no representation will be accepted.

   

SPORTS AND GAMES

Depending on the age and stage of development of the children, they are exposed to various sports and games as recreational activities under the able guidance of trained Physical Education Teacher.  Training is provided to the students regarding health and hygiene to develop spirit of competition, in developing individuality of the child, team spirit and inculcate self-discipline amongst the students in order to prepare them as better citizens and good human beings.  The school has well-developed playgrounds for Basketball, Tennis, Badminton, Hockey, Football, Table Tennis, Athletics, Skating, Swimming Pool etc.  The student will have to bring sports kit everyday to the school.  The kit will consist of pair of P.T. Shoes (white), a shorts/track pants and a T-Shirt.

Every student is expected to gain proficiency in at least one game by the end of the Secondary School examination.  Adequate coaching and practice are given in Games period also.  The school teams in various sports are encouraged to participate in several state and national level tournaments.  Inter-house tournaments are held in every sport/game.  Special coaching camps/summer camps are held to train those selected students who show encouraging potential in a sport/game.  Attendance is compulsory for students selected for these camps and defaulters are fined.

OTHER EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES (Beyond Chalk and Talk):

 EDUCATIONAL TRIPS :

During every academic session, the school organizes Educational Trips periodically- out station Educational Trips are organized during the vacations of relatively longer duration.  The selection of the places for these educational trips could be a zoo for understanding ecology; a museum for understanding the past of the related exhibited objects and its relation to the present; a Planetarium to acquire a little knowledge regarding the Universe or part thereof; any modern factory or industry so as to understand the rules and regulations involved in a specific domain of Human activity etc.  The long-term objective of such an excursion is to expose our student to gain experience beyond classroom situation in order to make them more confident and to develop their ability to think, to take a decision and to act independently.  The school also has facilities for hobbies like painting, dramatics, debates, quiz etc.

 

COMPETITIONS :

 Various competitions are held from time to time to give opportunity to the children to explore their innate potential. In this way, attempt is made to give an opportunity to maximum number of students for stage exposure, confidence building and developing leadership qualities.
